Is my eye exam covered by my health insurance card?
The Quebec Health Insurance Plan covers the cost of an eye exam every 12 months. However, it is limited to beneficiaries under 18 or over 65. Any follow-up assessment recommended by a Gatineau optometrist or physician is also covered by the Quebec Health Insurance. We also accept all Canadian private insurance plans and patients from Ontario.
